The term “methodology” leaves people the impression of bureaucracy, but in fact methodology represents the answer of managers to the question “How to systematize a complicated situation”. It is true that other methodologies are wrong in giving too much detail, but we have understand that the scope is satisfying the basic needs:

  • defining the essential elements
  • creating standardized carrying out procedures for the project tasks (reporting, monitoring problems, risks, closing of processes etc.)

There is no methodology universally true for any domain of activity. As such, a project which is designed to create a prototype will use a RAD-type approach, a web solution will use an Agile methodology, while a construction project will use a methodology specific to engineering.

On the other hand, some organizations implement over time multiple methodologies to satisfy the specific needs of each product or project. This approach creates confusion. On the contrary, we consider that the project management process should occur identically, irrespective of the product methodologies.

We offer you a methodology composed of two stages: the methodology for the project management, which offers the general framework, unique for the company, combined with the methodology specific to the object of the contract (SDLC-systems development life cycle).

The advantage of a project management methodology that is unique for the company is obvious: it reduces the cost of training on different methodologies, confusion disappears and allows reporting and similar analyses for projects in completely different domains.
