Understand the corporate specific cost procedures and carry out all the work in accordance with these
Generates accurate, monthly cost reports of project activities including commitments, actual expenditure to date and forecast of final expenditures
Produces regular cost reports and advises the management on any forecast cost overruns as soon as possible to allow corrective actions to be taken in a timely manner. Highlighting areas of concern and suggesting areas of improvement
Provide an accurate, timely and rigorous forecasts of the project costs, phased over time, to Project Management and other stakeholders
Actively lead/participate in all project progress meetings and review of workshops
Maintain the change control register retaining signed the documents and supporting the change management process. Tasks include generating preliminary estimates, detailed estimates, revised estimates of resource or schedule changes and by assessing the impact of change on the Project cost, man-hours and schedule
Analyze data to understand variances versus Budget and in Year Targets
Support the Project Services Lead in the overall delivery of cost engineering services to the project
Respond to requests for data, data analysis, and presentation materials, on a monthly and quarterly basis
Provide accruals to Financial analysts, maintaining current commitment reporting, reviewing expenditure against progress and latest estimates by activity, and assessing the impact of cost over/under-runs by preparing trend analyses and options
Assist in setting up project/projects within Computerized Cost Systems to agreed formats
Ensure that Monthly Progress Report (MPR) is updated with all relevant data and issued in timely manner
Reviewing the cost commitment and expenditure information (for all cost elements), for input to the computer cost control and reporting system on a weekly/monthly basis and ensuring that all information received is accurate and correctly input
